Depends what the day holds. If it's a travel day I'm up before the alarm double checking everything. If it's a stay at home day, I'll let the alarm go off and smack it. I take naps because the afternoon meds I take make me sleepy. I feel better after short ones, long ones make me disoriented.
I have no choice to get up early on the weekends because my kids are up early. They're 11 and 12 and still don't sleep in past 7 or 8 am.
On the weekends, the hubby lets me sleep in (though I usually get up around 9 am) because he's up early anyway due to his body being on his work schedule.
Early rising? Bah! Sleeping in always and forever! Any time before nine in the morning is a hideous and ungodly hour to be waltzing about. Mornings offend my sensibilities. I become irritable and cranky when roused too early from my slumbers. Actually... I'm pretty much always irritable and cranky... but I blame that on the fact that Life forces me to be up and about before 11am!
What Andrea Grace said, except, not only do I love to sleep in (no later than 9 or so though), I love to stay up very late-at least 1 or 2am. Still makes for a pretty long day, but it is my optimal.
Add me to the list of "2 who read" your blog. I love it and so far, all it contains!
both... kinda. our family are ranchers so most of the year - it's up and early and out. but during the summer while everything is out to summer pasture.. we've been sleeping in.. and it's been amazing. haha :)
All depends on the day. Though ideally I prefer to rise early and get a wonderful afternoon nap. nothing like it. :)
ReplyDeleteI always get shaky after a nap.
ReplyDeleteOh that's interesting...never heard of that before.

I'm not much of an early riser unless provoked. So, sleeping in works great for me. Naps are good too (grins).
ReplyDeleteI will have to try them more often. Violet. Thanks for being one of the 2 people who read my blog.
ReplyDeleteamulbunny. Very wise words. Much obliged.
ReplyDeleteI have to say sleeping in is my preference. Though if I'm forced to be a daywalker, I need naps.

It's almost 11:00 pm, and my two-year old dancing in the living room. I'm hoping it's a "sleeping in" morning tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteYeah, Jessica. It feels awesome, but there is always too much to do and so little time to do it in.
